Angel Token

Angel Token

A rare, radiant token earned through sacrifice, not sold, not dropped randomly, and not crafted at a bench.

Last updated August 2026. Part of the VortexXtra Item Catalog. See also: Rituals and Demonic Token.

How to Get One

This is earned through the Archangel Ritual, one of the two Sacrifice Rituals.

  1. Place a chest and clear a full 5x5x5 area of air around it.
  2. Stock the chest with exactly:

- 64x End Stone

- 32x Diamond Blocks

- 16x Totems of Undying

- 8x Sea Lanterns

- 8x Ghast Tears

- 1x Eternal Steak

  1. Lure a Vindicator to stand over the chest.
  2. Kill it.

Get the contents or the clearance wrong and nothing happens, no items lost, the chest just stays as-is. Everything needs to match exactly.

What Happens

Once triggered, the chest and its contents disappear and a sequence begins:

  • Your items rise and arrange into a wing-like pattern, hovering and rotating around the summoning point.
  • They spiral inward as the ritual builds toward completion.
  • The ground nearby transforms into glowstone and quartz, spreading outward from the center.
  • Three themed hostile mobs spawn and come after you: a heavily-armored zombie, an illusioner, and a skeleton archer.
  • Once the effects finish, the ground reverts back to normal, and your Angel Token drops.

Be ready to fight, the mobs that spawn are a real threat, not just decoration.

What It's Used For

The Angel Token is a key ingredient in crafting Archangel Essence, one of the rarest ritual materials in the game, made at the standard Ritual Crafting method alongside Seraphic Essence, an Eternal Steak, a Void Ascended Pearl (Stable), and a stack of Plutonium.

Archangel Essence feeds directly into the Smithing Table upgrade path for The Archangel Collection.

A Few Notes

  • Only one Angel Token drops per successful ritual, plan on repeating this if you need more.
  • There's no level requirement to trigger the ritual itself, only the exact items and the kill matter.
  • The Demonic Token is this token's dark counterpart, sharing the exact same mechanic with a different mob, different materials, and a very different atmosphere.
