Axe Enchants

Axe Enchantments

Axe enchantments are special upgrades applied to axes via Enchant Crystals.

Each axe can hold multiple enchants, and one pair conflicts with each other.

Four enchants from the original design were dropped from this pool - Lumberjack, Deforest, Root Ripper, and Feller's Might all replicated or cheapened the Satanic Axe's signature vein-mine ability (instantly felling a connected tree with fortune-scaled drops and leaf dispersal). Keeping those off the crystal table means that ability stays exclusive to the Satanic Axe rather than becoming something any tier can roll.

Enchant lines appear on the axe's lore between the separator lines, above the VortexArtifacts footer.

Rarity Tiers

Rarity controls how often an enchant shows up when rolling a crystal - weights are per-enchant, and higher rolls more often.

Enchant Slots

The axe follows the standard material progression.

Iron Axe4
Diamond Axe5

Rolling a crystal past the cap doesn't block it, but cuts the base success rate by 10% (only exactly at cap) - Crystal Dust can offset this, but never above the crystal's original base.

Common

The bread and butter. These show up constantly - expect to see all six before long.

Ember Strike I - II

Hits have a chance to ignite the target for 3 seconds at I, 5 seconds at II.

Headhunter I - II

Bonus damage against humanoid mob types - illagers, pillagers, players.

Bark Ripper I

Breaking logs drops double the normal wood amount.

Howling Edge I

The swing sound is amplified, briefly panicking nearby passive mobs.

Woodwhisper I

Cutting a tree pings nearby rare saplings and structures.

Splendor I - II

Rare chance a chopped tree drops a full sapling alongside bonus rare drops.

Uncommon

Solid tools with a bit more character. You'll roll these regularly once you're past the commons.

Lumber Rush I - II

Consecutive tree breaks speed up progressively. Resets after 3 seconds idle.

Glacial Edge I

Chopping near water leaves ice patches on adjacent blocks.

Cleave I - II

Axe combat hits carry over to an adjacent entity in range.

Splinter I - II

Wood breaks shower nearby mobs with splinters - a minor stacking bleed.

Rend I - II

Each hit applies a small bleed that stacks.

Ancient Timber I

Old growth trees have a chance to drop rare ancient wood.

Sap Run I

Chopping jungle trees leaves sap patches that slow mobs passing through.

Rare

Specialist enchants. These define a build. You know when you roll one.

Hardened Edge I - II

Bonus damage against armored targets, scaling with their armor value.

Shield Breaker I - II | Conflicts: Titan's Edge

Greatly increases shield-disabling chance and extends the disable cooldown.

Overpower I - II

Consecutive hits on the same target stack increasing damage.

Cripple I - II

Hits reduce the target's movement speed for 2 seconds.

Iron Splitter I - II

Bonus damage against targets with armor above 15 points.

Momentum Chop I - II

Damage scales with your sprint speed at the moment of impact.

Bark Shield I

Holding the axe off-hand briefly blocks projectiles like a shield.

Epic

High-impact enchants that change how the axe plays. Rolling one is notable.

Soul Splitter I

A killing blow splits into two smaller AOE hits around the target.

Berserker I - II

Below 40% HP, axe damage increases dramatically.

Executioner's Blow I

Massive bonus damage against targets below 20% HP.

Pulverize I - II

Chance to instantly damage a piece of the target's worn armor.

Battle Cry I

Three kills in quick succession triggers Strength I for you and nearby players.

War Axe I - II

Increased damage, at the cost of higher durability loss per hit.

Legendary

The rarest enchants on any axe. Most players never roll one.

Titan's Edge I | Conflicts: Shield Breaker

Axe attacks cannot be blocked by shields at all.

Timber Sense I

Sense the nearest tree up to 30 blocks away, in any direction.

Titan's EdgeShield Breaker

Shield Breaker improves shield-disabling odds, while Titan's Edge makes shields irrelevant to your attacks entirely - stacking both would be redundant, so only one can be active at a time. Conflicts are filtered out before the crystal rolls, so you'll never waste one on an incompatible outcome.
