Drunk
Being Drunk
What actually happens once you start drinking.

Your Alcohol Level
Every drink raises your blood-alcohol level, tracked from 0 to 100. Check yours any time with /alcohollevel.
- Drinking gives you an immediate bump, then keeps climbing for a short window afterward as it "absorbs."
- After that window, it starts naturally decreasing on its own over time.
- Eating Bread while drunk cuts your alcohol level down by a random amount, useful if you need to sober up in a hurry.
Effects by Level
The higher your level climbs, the worse it gets:
| Level | Effect |
| 30+ | Nausea, gets stronger the higher you go |
| 40+ | Random stumbling - your character jitters and occasionally lurches with a burst of slowness |
| 50+ | Slowness |
| 60+ | Chance to randomly drop an item from your inventory |
| 80+ | Occasional brief blindness |
| 90 → below | Coming down from 90+ can trigger a sudden bout of sickness |
| 100 | Things get serious - see below |
Hitting 100
Max out your alcohol level and one of two things happens:
- Blackout - brief blindness, followed by waking up somewhere else. Your surroundings won't be where you left them.
- Heavy sickness - a forced, intense bout of getting sick.
It's a coin flip which one you get. Either way, it's a strong signal to slow down.
If you log off while still very drunk, don't be surprised if a blackout catches up with you the next time you log back in.
Slurred Speech
Once your alcohol level passes 30, your chat messages start getting slurred, and it gets progressively worse the drunker you are. At high enough levels, don't expect anyone to be able to read what you're typing cleanly.
Getting Sick
If you end up getting sick, it's not just a message, it leaves a puddle behind. Standing in one of these puddles:
- Slows you down significantly.
- Knocks you back a bit.
- Forces your character into a crawling pose for a while.
Simplest advice: step out of the puddle. It's temporary, but unpleasant while it lasts.
A Few Notes
- There's no command to sober up instantly - time (or bread) is the only way down.
- Getting drunk is entirely optional and comes from choosing to drink what you brew - nothing forces alcohol on you.
- If you're going to drink in public, expect people to notice. Slurred chat and stumbling aren't subtle.
