Banking

Open a bank account, earn interest, take out a loan, and plan your finances.

Last updated August 2026. Part of the VortexEconomy series. See also: Investing.

Getting Started

/bank opens your bank menu. If you don't have an account yet, opening it walks you through creating one, completely free, no minimum deposit required.

Interest

Your bank balance earns interest automatically, once a day, based on your account level:

LevelDaily InterestBalance CapUpgrade Cost
11.0%$100,000(starting level)
21.5%$500,000$50,000
32.0%$2,000,000$250,000
43.0%$10,000,000$1,000,000
55.0%$50,000,000$5,000,000

Interest pays out roughly once per real-world day. If you've been offline a while, you'll still get caught up, but payouts cap at 4 days worth at a time, so there's no benefit to staying logged off longer.

Use /bank interest or the Financial Calculator inside the menu to see your exact projected earnings and whether upgrading your account level would pay for itself.

Deposit & Withdraw

Move money between your wallet and your bank balance freely, no fees, no cooldown, no limits beyond your wallet balance or your bank's capacity for that level.

Loans

Need a lump sum? /bank loan lets you apply for one, once you've played at least 24 hours on the server.

  • Choose from preset amounts: $5,000 / $10,000 / $25,000 / $50,000 / $75,000 / $100,000.
  • Fixed 15% interest, added the moment you take the loan (a $10,000 loan means you owe $11,500).
  • 30 days to pay it back.
  • You can only have one active loan at a time.
  • Repay in partial chunks or all at once, whatever's easiest for you.

Miss the deadline and it's not free money forever - overdue loans rack up a $500 per day late fee until it's paid off. There's no collections or repossession system, but the fees just keep stacking, so it's in your best interest not to let it slide.

Financial Calculator

A built-in dashboard inside the bank menu to help you plan:

  • Interest Calculator - see your projected daily/weekly/monthly/yearly earnings at your current rate.
  • Upgrade Calculator - see exactly how much extra you'd earn per day by upgrading, and how long it'd take to pay off the upgrade cost.
  • Investment Calculator - a quick read on your portfolio's diversification and risk level.
  • Loan Calculator - example repayment totals at various loan amounts.
  • Wealth Calculator - your full net worth breakdown and a fun "wealth rank" label based on your total worth.
  • Savings Goal Calculator - estimates how many days it'll take to reach $100K, $500K, or $1M in the bank at your current interest rate.

Transaction History

/bank also gives you access to your transaction history, your last 50 transactions across banking, investing, loans, and more, with filters and running totals so you can see exactly where your money's been going.
