VortexKord

VortexKord is the bridge between the Minecraft server and our Discord. It's not a bot you talk to or interact with directly, it works quietly in the background, but it does affect what shows up where. This page covers the parts that actually touch players.

Discord Chat Bridge

In-game chat and Discord are connected:

• Messages you send in-game are relayed into a Discord channel, shown with your rank prefix and avatar.
• Messages sent in that Discord channel are relayed back into in-game chat too, so Discord members can talk with in-game players and vice versa.
• Deaths and advancements you get in-game are also posted to Discord.
• Joining or leaving the server posts a message to Discord as well - unless you're vanished, in which case it's suppressed like everywhere else.

There's no toggle for this on the player side, if you're chatting in-game or in the linked Discord channel, assume the other side can see it.

Sign Shop Alerts

If you place a Sign Shop and leave it standing for 5 minutes, it gets automatically posted to a staff Discord channel with:

• Your name and avatar
• Whether it's buying or selling
• The item and price
• The shop's location

There's no opt-out, any shop left up past the 5-minute mark gets flagged. Take it down before then and it never gets posted at all. If a previously-flagged shop is later broken or removed, a follow-up message notes that too, so the record stays accurate.

One privacy protection is built in: if your shop is inside your personal home/cell (in the private homes world), the location shown is just "Private Cell" instead of exact coordinates. Shops placed anywhere else on the server (spawn, public markets, the wilderness) still show their real coordinates.

If you're playing on Bedrock and your account is linked to a Java account, your real skin shows up in the alert. If it's unlinked, a generic placeholder avatar is used instead, nothing broken, just no personal skin to pull from.

A Few Notes

• This system exists for transparency and moderation, not to embarrass anyone, it's mainly there so staff have a paper trail of long-standing player shops.
• If you have concerns about your shop's info being posted, reach out to staff rather than trying to work around the system.
